Children in Elephant class have been learning to recite poems by heart. They have added actions to help them recall and memorise them.
Great learning of subtraction facts to 10. Children used this learning to help them solve word problems.
Children from Year One in Elephant class have been learning all about 2D and 3D shapes. They have learned to create their own groupings and can tell you about some of the properties of these shapes. Children have all enjoyed writing their own information text about penguins and have learnt to group animals according to what they eat. Ask them to tell you all about carnivores, herbivores and omnivores!!
Here are some pictures of children on their learning journey.
Just a quick reminder that all children in Elephant class need a strong carrier bag labelled with your child’s name before the end of term. This will help us send home your child’s work.
School closes at 1.15pm on Tuesdaythus week. Children should be collected from classroom doors as normal.
May we take this opportunity to thank you for your support this year and to wish all the children well as they take the next step on their learning journey and move into year 2 .
Have a lovely restful summer break.
Mrs Watts, Mrs Noblett and Mrs Ditchfield
Children from year one have enjoyed their 3rd week of Cookery Club and have made an Easter Box of chocolate Rice Krispie cakes tonight as an Easter present to their families. They have enjoyed making Fresh Fruit Salad and yummy Gingerbread so far.
Next week is our final week and we will make pizzas to bake at home for tea!
Take a look at some of our pictures.
Special thank you to Mrs Vickers for all her help.
