An update for kakapo

some of our clay models of fruit.

We made pasta salad. It looked, smelt and tasted great!

Last week we carried out experiments on rocks in science.  We tested to see if they are heavy and if they are permeable.

Our trip to White Scar caves was amazing.  We followed the path of the explorer Christopher Long, who discovered the caves in 1923.

Learning French

Balancing, creating shapes and learning dance routines with Sarah.
Science show.

In maths we have looked at handling data, creating frequency tables and then pictograms, bar charts and line graphs.

In design technology each table has created a structure with wood.  We used saws, glue guns and wired as a team.

In science we have been looking at nutrition and looking at food groups.

On the trail of maths

Today was the day we raced around the field solving tricky maths problems, which had been cunningly hidden on trees, fences, railings, and even inside the willow tunnel!

Well done to all the mathematicians who managed to solve so many puzzles.  As you can see, a few people needed a rest after their exertions!

History comes to life!

We have just returned from hiding behind Hadrian’s Wall, experiencing the Savage Saxons’ ideas of justice, surviving the vicious Vikings and watching the Celts get crunched by the ruthless Romans – just a few of things to happen before our eyes during the show at Blackpool’s Grand Theatre!

And, best of all, 3D Bogglevison meant we came face-to-face with deadly snakes and carnivorous dogs, dodged flying arrows and blood, ducked as severed heads flew our way and scattered before a talking Viking longboat!

History has never been such fun!
