The PTFA (Parents, Teachers and Friends Association) is a registered charity and is run by parents and teachers, to raise money to benefit our children and enhance the school facilities.
In its time, the PTFA has raised thousands of pounds for new equipment and resources. We are a great link between home and school and brings staff, parents and friends together to support a common goal. We hold several meetings per term to organise, plan and facilitate events. All families are automatically members of the PTFA when their child joins school. The committee is made up of parents whose children attend school, but we are always happy to welcome new members and particularly new ideas. Fundraising can be challenging, but enormously rewarding when we see the final results.

Stacey Taylor – Chairperson I joined the PTFA in September 2015. I have one child in year 5 and one just started in nursery. I was elected as chairperson in September 2019, having previously been elected in the role of deputy chairperson in July 2016, then re-elected in 2017 & 2018.
Karen Billington – Treasurer I have been working at Walton-le-Dale Primary School for over 10 years as a teaching assistant. My daughter also previously attended the school. I have been a member of the PTFA for over 6 years and see the benefits of your generous contributions and support throughout the year. I have been the Treasurer since 2013, and re-elected in 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018 and 2019.
Sally Salmon – PTFA Committee Member I joined the PTFA in September 2013. I have one child in year 5 and one child who previously attended the school. I was elected secretary in 2013, 2015, and 2016.
Joanne Doyle – PTFA Committee Member I have been on the PTFA for over 10 years. I have two children who previously attended school. I work at the After-School Club and in school at lunchtime. I have previously been the Chairperson.
Lesley Smith – PTFA Committee Member I joined the PTFA in September 2014. I have one child in year 6.
Tracey Kemplay – PTFA Committee Member I joined the PTFA in May 2014. I have one child in year 6 and one in High School who previously attended the school.
Andrea Mellor – PTFA Committee Member I joined the PTFA in September 2016, I have one child in year 4 and one in high school who previously attended WLDPS.
Vicki Hudson – PTFA Committee Member I joined the PTFA in September 2016. I have one child in year 4 and one in year 2.
Nicola Harkness – PTFA Committee Member I joined the PTFA in September 2017, I have one child in year 6 and one in High School who previously attended the school.
Yvonne Vickers – PTFA Volunteer I am a TA within school and help out at events. My children have previously attended the school.
Louise Johnson - PTFA Committee MemberI joined the PTFA in September 2019. I have one child in year 1.
